Healing Prayer

Sola Dei (which means “only God”), is the healing prayer ministry at Newsong Santa Ana. Over the years we have witnessed the healing power of God and are constantly reminded that only God heals and brings people into healing, wholeness, and freedom. When we speak of healing prayer, we are referring to physical and emotional healing as well as spiritual cleansing prayer.

  • Sola Dei Prayer Team members are safe and well-trained for this specific type of prayer.
  • Prayer Team members avoid language or practices that feel mystical, dark, or overly dramatic. Our prayer focus is rooted in God’s truth, peace, and encouragement, and we will do everything possible to reflect the love, kindness, and gentleness of our Heavenly Father.
  • All prayer sessions are strictly confidential but not secret; you are welcome to share whatever you wish with others but members of the Prayer Team never will.

Encouraging Word Prayer

During an Encouraging Word Prayer session, a small team will seek a word from the heart of God specifically for YOU expressed as a prayer of blessing for your strengthening, encouragement and comfort. Each member of the EWP Team is a well-trained, safe and loving person who is well-suited for this special ministry.

Each EWP session is 25 minutes and offered monthly, by appointment only, in the privacy of the Newsong on Sunday mornings at the Wellington Office Complex (next to Newsong – 910 W. 17th street) from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.

Prayer Requests – Prayer Wall

Intercessory Prayer occurs whenever one person comes to God in prayer on behalf of another. Each time we invite others to pray on our behalf, we are reminded of several important spiritual principles:

  • Prayer is immensely powerful. The Bible says, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16b)
  • Prayer is a response to God’s invitation to partner with him. The 18th century theologian and evangelist, John Wesley remarked, “God will do nothing on earth except in answer to believing prayer.”
  • We were created to live in mutual interdependence; we need one another. (c.f. 1 Cor. 12)
